Witness Bar

Where the Spirits Nourish the Soul

Witness is a Southern-influenced craft cocktail bar that places emphasis on warm hospitality and premium-quality beverages. The food menu features Southern-inspired dishes that lean more toward “soul food” than “New Southern Cuisine.” Witness delivers charm, easy elegance, and down-home warmth.

[12/24/16]   Hello My Congregation!

Happy Holidays from the Witness crew. As per our tradition, The Holcomb Family will be serving simple drinks and cassoulet tomorrow on Christmas Eve from 5 until 9pm. Alison, Dashiell, and I look forward to seeing you and serving you! We always give the staff the night of Christmas Eve off, and of course, Christmas Day.

We will be open for brunch tomorrow and through the Seahawks game if you want to come on by!

Thank you for supporting Witness. We wish you an amazing season.

Gregg and the staff of Witness

[11/24/16]   Happy Thanksgiving, Congregation!

I hope everyone has a beautiful day with their family and friends. I am extremely thankful to be able to own a restaurant / bar that gets to be a part of this amazing community and neighborhood.

Witness will be closed tonight, as we always do on Thanksgiving, to allow our staff to celebrate the holiday and come back strong and renewed to take you through the rest of the holiday season.

With love,
Gregg and the rest of the staff at Witness

[11/06/16]   Okay, my people. So much going on the next few days. The tv's will be on the next 3 evenings. Tonight, we are showing the Sounders playoff game. Tomorrow, we are showing the Seahawks. Tuesday, we are watching the first female President get elected.

We are going to have food and drink specials all 3 nights. Come in! Because if things go badly, I may be in Canada on Wednesday . . .

Cheers! Go Sounders! Go Hawks! Go Hillary!!!

What you missed last night at Witness if you weren't there. Dead and Famous - Elvis, Gypsy Rose Lee, Left Eye, Amy Winehouse and Mr. Rogers - Zombie Versions.

Meet the Seattle bartender who gives sermons on Saturdays

Hello Flock!

Yours truly and the Saturday Sermons were featured in a really cool brand new newsletter called The Evergrey - which focuses on how to find community in Seattle. You should check them out!

[10/23/16]   Hello Flock! We are bringing back Second Sunday Supper in a limited and special fashion. We have decided to team up with other Chefs and restaurants to create unique dining (and drink) experiences with a theme! Next Sunday the 30th, Andrew Yanik from Luc will be coming by to do the theme Colonial America.

The dinner next Sunday will feature 8 delicious courses along with drink pairings. Dinner will be only $60, plus $30 for the drink pairings. Why so low? Because we love doing these events to stretch our culinary wings. And, we love you - plain and simple.

Seats are limited, so please send me a message and let me know you would like to attend! Dinner starts at 6pm and with menu I saw, it is truly not to be missed.

Sip Northwest, Fall 2016

Hey Flock, I got mentioned in Kathy Casey's Sip Northwest talking about one of my favorite drinks with Copperworks Gin.

Hi there, Flock!

Looking for a place to watch the fight, I mean, Presidential debate tonight? Come on in to Witness. See Hillary and The Donald duke it out. 6pm tonight. Good food. Good drink. Unintentional comedy.

We are working on a drinking game around when Trump says "great" and when someone says "freedom".

Should be a memorable, no holds barred event. And please remember to educate yourself and vote!
